Our November 21st EKBPA meeting at the historical Jacob’s Building in Chilhowie Park was not only memorable but deeply informative. Kyle Nelson introduced the event by inviting everyone to the grand opening of “Christmas at Chilhowee,” which promises to light up the park through December. Officer Clemens facilitated a vital exchange, addressing community questions and concerns, further strengthening our community ties.
Thanks to Erin Hall from Edward Jones for sponsoring a delightful breakfast prepared by Real Good Kitchen. We’re thrilled to introduce our upgraded EKBPA website, designed to enhance member experience with streamlined registration and membership renewal processes.
A key feature of this meeting was a comprehensive presentation by Jered Croom from PARC (Police Advisory & Review Committee), which was established in 1998 following significant community unrest. PARC plays a crucial role in Knoxville by providing civilian oversight of police activities, ensuring transparency, and strengthening the relationship between the Knoxville Police Department (KPD) and the community. Members can access the PARC PowerPoint presentation below in the exclusive member section below.
For those interested in viewing more from the event, a select gallery of photos is available publicly, capturing the essence of our gathering. Active members can access the full gallery to relive the event.
